Goals

Goals Rules:

  • Using Subdivision Quad Workflow
  • No Triangles, no n-Gons, no n-Poles, only quads
  • Game-Engine (Source Engine / Unreal) ready
  • Rendering High-Quality ready
  • Conflict-Free UV with “nearly” no distortion
  • Pieces seperated into category Wood, Metal, Glass … for Game-Engines
  • Separate Pieces for using it in animation
  • Rig with door, steering construction as well

Missing Features - Need Support

There are two features they’re maybe missing or imperfect.

Texturing is one thing. I will prepare all the materials with texture links for sure. But I guess the super details and/or decals I can not provide. I try, but I guess I will fail. It would be nice, if someone jump into the high quality texture artist.

Source Engine convert. I didn’t use Source Engine for over 10 years. So my knowledge is very old and no longer valid, I assume. As far as I could see, QC is no longer used, and DMX is used, I really have no clue, and I also too old for that. Means, if someone provide cool textures, it would be awesome if someone jump in and create the model for several gaming engines.

Used Software

I started the Cup Trailer in 2022 with Houdini. But it does not become finish. Seriously, I get depressed by using Houdini for modeling. You will get depressed, if you come from SoftImage (Awesome Software for modeling that Autodesk stopped). Meanwhile, Iam using Cinema 4D, and that looks like a nice Modeling Tool. Beside of that I will use RedShift for rendering and maybe zBrush and Krita for Texturing.
